The BAOU is the seventh Open University in the country in terms of their establishment. The University offers 72 programmes with an enrolment of more than 1,00,000 learners.
The headquarters of the university is located at Ahmedabad. The University has established Regional Centre on the campus of South Gujarat University, Rajkot and has initiated the process of another establishing Regional centre on the campus of North Gujarat University, Patan. The University has more than 507 study centers. It has jurisdiction over the whole state of Gujarat.

Education Qualification : Candidate who wants to take admission in B.Ed should be done their Graduation with 50% marks from the Government Recognized University and can be In-Service Teachers with A Bachelor or Higher Degree from a recognized University.Candidates should have cleared the Entrance Test conducted by Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU)
Selection Process:Students will be selected on the basis of their Marks score obtained in the B.Ed. Entrance Test.
How to Apply for BAOU in B.ED 2016 -2017:
- Before Applying Candidates please go through Instructions given in the Notification
- Log on to the Official website of BAOU that is www.baou.edu.in they can go through “the instruction of online form ” as for B.ED.
- Fill the Application correctly with out any mistake and Pay the Application Fee through Gateway payment or DD(Demand Draft) are made ‘In
- a Favor of Register, BAOU – Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University’.
Candidate have to Fill only One Form per Applicant filling more than one form his or her the are Cancelled.
- Submit the Application and Make a note of Application Id and Password
- Take Print out of Application for Future Use.
